Since 1990, Penland Ranch has bred quality Quarter Horses with performance bloodlines. We breed for quality, size, bone, feet, disposition and all around good purpose. Our horses are good for all types of riders from beginners to advanced riders.
Our horses have won Championships from AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association) , Snaffle Bit Association and PCQHA (Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Association).
Most buyers of Penland Ranch Quarter Horses put them into use immediately after purchasing them. We work diligently to provide a "Finished" Quarter Horse -- ready to go to work for you.
Our AQHA Stallion, Casper (Colonel Citation) began a long tradition of breeding Quarter Horses. Casper accumulated 161.5 points in halter, calf roping, heading, heeling, working cowhorse, and team penning; earned his AQHA Superiors in heading and heeling; and was 1992 High Point AQHA Stallion in Heading and Heeling. Casper personifies the type of competitive all-around Quarter Horse we breed.
