Penland Ranch Quarter Horses

Penland Ranch, LLC breeds quality AQHA Quarter Horses. The ranch runs a group of broodmares with proven performance bloodlines. The offspring are offered for sale. Penland Ranch has been in the horse industry business since 1990.

A famous AQHA stallion named "Casper" (Colonel Citation), started the breeding line. Casper accumulated 161.5 points in halter, calf roping, heading, heeling, working cowhorse, and team penning; earned his AQHA Superiors in heading and heeling; and was 1992 High Point AQHA Stallion in Heading and Heeling. Casper personifies the type of competitive all-around Quarter Horse we breed.

Though Casper is gone, we continue the tradition of breeding good looking, versatile, Quarter Horses for the performance arena. We carefully select stallions from all over the country to cross with our broodmares and offer young horses and horses in training.
